July 10, 2005  We're still waiting for the rains from Hurricane Dennis to hit.  It has been really dark outside since yesterday afternoon.  Florence is caught up for the year in annual rainfall, and the grass shows it!  So far, I am in the number one spot for FitLinxx points at the Fitness Center.  After a year, I had 330,000 points.  I've already racked up over 200,000 points just in the first six months of this year.  There have been a lot of changes at work.  We've got a new programmer, and losing another programmer.

February 25, 2005  Our IT Supervisor (my boss) resigned.

January 8,2005  Elvis celebrates 70 years at Lorraine's 60th birthday bash!.  My friend Lorraine turned 60 on what would have been The King's 70th birthday.  I went dressed as Elvis (see the photos !)

December 31, 2004  Our General Manager resigned.

September 27, 2004 The remnants of Hurricane Jeanne should be here later Monday and Tuesday.  South Carolina has been lucky, compared to Florida, who is the first state to get whacked by four hurricanes in one season in 118 years.  I finished my first workout in over a week at the gym today.  An unfortunate run-in with a jealous boyfriend at a local redneck watering hole interrupted my visits to the Fitness Center, but things are back on track.  I'm only 2,000 FitLinxx points away from my 50,000 point T-shirt, I'm still in the top 10 for September.

September 12, 2004 Hurricane activity has been something else, this year.  Bonnie and Gaston brought torrential rain, Charley, and Frances made landfall in South Carolina within miles of each other and Ivan is now a category 5 hurricane, with winds over 165 miles an hour.  Check out storm2004.com, the Weather Underground, or the National Oceanic & Atmospheric Administration for details...

The last few months have been busy, with work, dealing real estate, and getting to the gym three or four times a week (Not to mention getting out to see Lucia & Levi when they're in town).  The good news is that I am all moved in to my new home (take the tour), the condo is sold (Woo Hoo!), I've shed ten inches, and the computer is finally hooked up.  Now, I just need to get another phone jack installed...

When I put the condo up for sale on May 28th, I didn't think closing day would EVER get here, but it finally did on September 9th.  Gloria was a big help with both real estate transactions.

The McLeod Fitness Center ranks high as gyms go.  A lot of the weight training and exercise machines are wired into a computer, so you can track your personal fitness program.  The information is available on-line at the FitLinxx web-site, where you can see how much weight you've lifted and the time you've spent exercising.  Points are given for every weight machine visited, every 100 lbs of weight lifted, and every minute spent doing cardiovascular activities.  So far, I've got 38,000 points, and ranked #7 of all members with 18,000 points for the month of August.

What the heck is NESARA?  Have you heard about this, the National Economic Stabilization and Recovery Act?  There is even a Canadian web-site devoted to NESARA, on a global level.  There are 180 countries involved in this act.  The issues it deals with are definitely NOT for the faint of heart.  For more info, Email nesara-info@levell.net, or click here.

Have you seen the latest research on Shyness & Technology?  It seems that as electronic communication replaces face-to-face communication, our social skills deteriorate substantially.  Read more here.  For highly-sensitive individuals, this can be quite traumatic, as Thomas Eldridge discusses here.

The move to Levell.Net's new home on the internet is complete.  For those of you who may not know, the former web-host for this web-site got hacked on Saturday, March 6, 2004.  The good news is that not only is the new server more secure and provides better protection against SPAM and viruses, it is also cheaper.  Even web-hosting has come down in price since 1999, when Levell.Net went on-line.  The improved security comes partly from running on a Unix-based server, instead of Windows, like the old server.  Running on Unix means that this site no longer supports Active Server Pages (ASP), but they have been dieing a slow death, anyway.  Did you know that 80% of the Internet runs on Apache server, which is Unix-based?

Check out the news from Symantec and Netcraft!  Man, am I glad I moved to a new, non-Windows server last week!  Current events relating to Internet security are available at CERT.

I found an interesting web-site for an organization called Survival Enterprises.  Check it out by clicking here!
